WW-P values volunteer service from approved volunteers in classrooms to chaperones at athletic events and overnight trips. Community service and volunteer work is a part of the mission statement for students in the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District, and we believe such efforts and involvement offer a broader view for children as they begin to understand and appreciate  the world around them.

In addition, we welcome volunteers in our schools, as such individuals may bring to our students and staff a new perspective about life and the importance of contributing and ‘giving back’ to the community in which we live.

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District has implemented an online application and onboarding process for individuals who volunteer in a classroom or school for longer than four weeks or on any overnight trip.

The volunteer approval process is important for the safety and security of our students and staff, and allows the school district to monitor volunteer activities.  If you chaperone an overnight field trip or volunteer within the school for more than four weeks, please be prepared to complete a new volunteer task list via our onboarding software program.

Volunteers who have the potential to supervise students will typically be required to submit to the criminal history clearance process.  Unpaid Volunteers may be reimbursed for fingerprint clearance cost upon request.
